Massage Therapy is a manual treatment aimed at restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. Massage Therapists use a variety of hands on techniques together with patient education and exercises to reduce pain, improve overall function and help with injury prevention. Massage is effective in treating and providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, sport injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunctions.

Registered massage therapists in British Columbia are among the most educated and highly trained professionals in their field. Standard education requirements include comprehensive studies in health sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology and neuroanatomy.

Like other healthcare professionals, RMT's have mandatory ongoing continuing education requirements including a code of ethics that must be adhered to. They are also linking research to practice and are providing evidence based treatments and education. You can be assured of a safe, competent and proactive approach to your care.
